Lesson Four Basic Stage Progression
Welcome to Lesson 4, Stage Progression with Scope Creep Validation!
So far, we have created an operational stage progression feature in our system that is dynamic based on the project type. We also improved our end user experience by adding in a project lifecycle panel that highlights the current phase in the list of expected phases. In this lesson we are going to add a stage progression validation component that asks our project managers to capture any identified scope creep in the phase that has just concluded.
We will be addressing the following business need, “I need a controlled method to progress projects through all phases of a project management lifecycle where the phase selections are dependent on the project type. The current phase should be highlighted within the full project lifecycle and displayed on a project panel for ease of navigation. As the project progresses through each phase, the project manager should indicate if there was any scope creep identified in the previous phase.”
